Cost of Living MapThis is a random selection of cities from across the globe.
The colors of the circles indicate cost of living index within the radius which they cover.
Red being the most expensive, green is in the middle, and blue is the cheapest.
The data and formulas used to calculate “cost of living” are somewhat subjective and undergoing revisions to give the most accurate depiction.
Originaly the main issue with this map was the size of the circles:
the radius was made large enough to be easily seen at the global zoom level.
different radiuses reveal different pockets of cheapness. There are other notes about this in the blog.
Now there are multiple layers / adjustable radiuses.
